To northeast England for this week’s photos with a trip to Beamish:
This week there are updates this week to the Beamish Tramway (photo links), Blackpool Tramway (photo links), Crich Tramway Village (last operating dates), Docklands Light Railway (new train delivered), Manchester Metrolink (new advert, adverts removed and photo links), Manx Electric Railway (last operating dates and photo links), South Yorkshire Supertram (photo links), Tyne and Wear Metro (new train into service and old train scrapped) and West Midlands Metro (photo links and new names) Fleet Lists. There is also an update to the Manchester Metrolink (new advert and adverts removed) Advert List.
Off to Beamish for this week’s “Picture of the Week” as we see two of the 2025 regular performers pausing when working around the circular tramway. Closest to the camera is Sunderland 16 and its joined by Oporto 196, the latter of which carries the attractive colours of South Shields Corporation. Currently there are four trams available for service at Beamish, the others being Blackpool 31 and Sheffield 264. This shot was taken on 5th July 2025. (Photograph by Trevor Hall)
