Out and About: Trams at Cathedral in Sheffield

A new irregular photo series starts today – “Out and About”. In this series we will be featuring recently taken photos on UK tramway’s and it is in no way whatsoever “Lockdown Walks” under a different name! (Well, maybe a little bit!). In this edition we head to Cathedral in central Sheffield.

As we’ve seen already there are some bears lose on the streets of Sheffield as part of a trail in aid of the Children’s Hospital Charity and one of those is located adjacent to the stop at Cathedral as seen in the foreground of this photo. 109 is seen behind just arriving at the stop when Not In Service.

A second tram approaches Cathedral with 116 – retaining an advert for XPO Logistics – arriving. Note that the tram is only running to Birley Lane as overhead line problems at Donetsk Way meant that Blue route trams were turning short of Halfway at this time.
