Stop by Stop Nottingham Express Transit: Toton Lane line – University Boulevard

We continue our journey along Nottingham Express Transit’s Toton Lane line today in this latest edition of “Stop by Stop”.

The next stop on our journey is at University Boulevard. After leaving the stop at the University of Nottingham we cross over the busy University Boulevard and run on a reserved section of track passing the Nottingham Tennis Centre and Nottingham Hockey Centre on the left as we do before we arrive at University Boulevard. The stop is of the standard NET design with platforms either side of the tracks with each platform having shelters, passenger information displays, general tram information, bins and lighting.

A view of the stop looking towards Nottingham. The bust University Boulevard is seen beyond the far platform.

201 is just pulling away from University Boulevard here as it continues on its way to Hucknall.

The Toton Lane bound platform is seen in this image as 231 calls with its service. (All Photographs by Gareth Prior, 20th September 2020)

  1. Geoff IoM says:

Is the surface of University Boulevard in dire need of repair? Or is merely ‘busy’?

    • Gareth Prior says:

Thanks for the correction. One of my usual typos which I normally notice before publication just not in this case!
