Now around a week into area two of the Stagecoach Supertram rail replacement project for 2019 the worksite has moved to the inbound track in the vicinity of the Bamforth Street stop (the actual worksite is from the road of the same name to Cuthbert Bank Road). Stuart Cooke has been on the scene capturing the latest images for us below.
This is the scene at Bamforth Street stop itself with the inbound trackbed fenced off allowing the workers access to replace the track.
The protective tents are in evidence here to allow a fully dry environment for the laying of the new track.
