Out and About: Edinburgh Trams – November 2024

We take a look at another of the advert liveries to be carried on Edinburgh Trams during 2024 for this “Out and About”.

Having carried a number of partial advertising liveries since its first in June 2018, October 2024 saw 268 receive its very first full wrap when it started to advertise the Lost Shore surf resort which is located not far from the centre of Edinburgh. This image shows the full effect of the advert as it calls at St Andrew Square on the way to the Airport.

As with other advertising liveries in Edinburgh, this design features full height ads on two of the sections of the tram. This photo shows one of them for the Lost Shore advert encouraging you to “Let’s Go” and surf at the resort. (Photographs x2 by Roy Calderwood, 2nd November 2024)

The lowest numbered of the CAF trams which operate on the Edinburgh Trams system, 251, is seen in this image at McDonald Road as it pauses with a service to the Airport. Darkness has fallen as the tram continues to go about its normal business with it carrying adverts for the nearby St James Quarter. (Photograph by Roy Calderwood, 12th November 2024)
