Out and About: Edinburgh Trams – the old and the new

“Out and About” time again and we are off to Edinburgh here for a photo showing the old and the new.

Edinburgh gives you a combination of the historic and the modern. On the one hand you have the modern trams going about their daily business and on the other there is the history of the city. And some of that history is tram related as well. Along Leith Walk is the old Leith tram depot office building which has recently received a National Transport Trust Red Wheel to recognise its significance. It is now passed by trams every day once more as seen here with 273 and its (firt) advert for Uni Qlo. (Photograph by John Hampton, 24th May 2024)
