Out and About: Manchester Metrolink – a brief stay at Victoria

We go to Victoria on the Manchester Metrolink network in this latest outing of “Out and About”.

This photo shows 3099 as it departs from Victoria with a service which would have started back at Bury and is now running into Piccadilly. There it will terminate and after using the Sheffield Street turnback will head back this way and to Bury.

The centre platform at Victoria is usually the preserve of the Manchester Airport service and that was also the case on this visit. 3011 is seen departing with a service out to the Airport as we just see another tram coming on the far side bound for Bury. Further to the right and a CAF built unit running for Northern is seen at the railway station.

A coupled unit running to East Didsbury features in this photo. Its formed of 3126 on the left and 3117 – which has vinyls for Marks Electrical. (All Photographs by Ken Jones, 15th May 2024)
