Off to the East Anglia Transport Museum again as we have another edition of “Trams &”.
We are at the classic East Anglia Transport Museum photo location of the Chapel Road terminus for the photo at the end of this article as we take a look at two electric forms of transport which were built in the 1950s.
Sheffield Roberts Car 513 is the older of the two having entered service in 1950 and after spells at Beamish and Blackpool was sent on loan by the former of those to the East Anglia Transport Museum where it has now become a popular member of the operating fleet.
Alongside we see Bournemouth trolleybus 286. This was built in 1959 and is a Sunbeam trolleybus which would go on to become the last service trolleybus in the formerly Hampshire town in 1969.
What a splendid pair, and a nice view of them. Thank you.
