We go “15 Years Apart” again with two images of a tram – one taken in 2010 and the other in 2025.

This time out we feature Seaton Tramway 11, which back in 2010 hadn’t even been in use for 10 years and was still in its original livery. This was a livery which was selected to represent the Liverpool First Class colour scheme and was a two tone cream. In this image we see the tram arriving at Colyton with what is a “SERVICE EXTRA” on 5th June 2010. Its got a full load of passengers and one presumes that another tram is waiting to access the single-line to Colyford with the cameras out on the top deck. (Photograph by Gareth Prior)

By 2025 and 11 is still running at the Seaton Tramway but has had a bit of a makeover. The cream livery of 2010 has gone and is now replaced by a bright pink paintjob. The tram was selected to get the pink livery after the popularity of 8 (which was the initial tram to get these colours). Whilst not exactly one for the purists there is no denying it stands out from the crowd and you can often hear the general public asking about the pink tram so it has had the desired effect. This image shows its at Colyford on the way to Colyton on 23rd August 2025. (Photograph by Steven Hughes)
