And so it continues! Manchester Metrolink M5000 3064 has now become the latest tram to receive advertising vinyls in the fleet following the application of a design for New York City, complete with images of the Statue of Liberty.
The purpose of this advert is to encourage tourism to New York City and as well as the Statue of Liberty it includes a link to New York City tourism website. The bulk of the advert features a black background with white writing standing out against that.
3064 has now carried two different adverts. It previously advertised USDAW from August 2021 until December 2022 (the union have since changed trams with 3080 now carrying very similar vinyls as from March 2023).
This is the fourteenth new advert to be added to a tram during 2024.
3064 and its New York City advert departs from Wythenshawe Town Centre on the way to Manchester Airport.
