Stop by Stop London Trams: Beckenham Junction & Elmers End lines – Blackhorse Lane

Another stop is reached on the London Trams network.

We leave Woodside and it’s a continuation along the alignment of the Woodside and South Croydon Railway before we reach the next stop at Blackhorse Lane. Whilst there was no station here in the days of the railway it is in the approximate location of a junction on that line. The stop has platforms either side of the tracks and you know the rest as it has pretty standard facilities.

Blackhorse Lane also has some handy viewpoints for trams from above as we see in this shot of 2564 which pauses on the way to Beckenham Junction.

And then this is 2543 which arrives at the stop from the direction of Woodside. (Both Photographs by Gareth Prior, 21st September 2021)
