Wednesday 13th March saw Supertram services towards Malin Bridge and Middlewood have to turn short at Hillsborough after a collision involving two cars blocked the tracks. The collision happened around lunchtime and led to the sight of trams using the crossover at Hillsborough. Stuart Cooke was on hand to capture these photos.
One of the cars involved in the collision has been lifted onto a lorry now and is being removed from the scene. Meanwhile, waits at the stop having had to terminate with a Blue route service.
115 is then seen using the crossover at the city end of the stop as it heads back towards Halfway. A tram on the Yellow route waits for it to perform this move. (Both Photographs by Stuart Cooke, 13th March 2024)
