Out and About: Iron:Man and tram in Birmingham City Centre – January 2024

We’re off to Birmingham City Centre for this edition of “Out and About”.

Located next to the Town Hall tramstop on the Birmingham Westside extension is the Iron:Man sculpture by acclaimed British sculptor Anthony Gormley (probably best known for the Angel of the North). Originally named Untitled the sculpture received the nickname Iron Man and subsequently was officially renamed Iron:Man. Urbos100 48 is standing at the stop on the way to Edgbaston Village. 1. Jim says:

Iron-man links rather nicely to Black Sabbath Bridge and bench just down the line!
