What’s New on British Trams Online? 30th July 2023

Back after a week off we have a single set of photos from Edinburgh this week:

Photos: Edinburgh Trams – June & July 2023

There are updates this week to the Blackpool Tramway (tram departed), Crich Tramway Village (tram arrived), Edinburgh Trams (new adverts and photo links), Manchester Metrolink (new advert, trams into service and photo links), Manx Electric Railway (trailer back into service and photo links) and West Midlands Metro (trams into service and photo links) Fleet Lists alongside the Edinburgh Trams (new adverts and photo links) and Manchester Metrolink (new advert and photo links) Advert Lists.

Please note over the past few days the main inbox has become full on several occasions as we have struggled to keep up with emails! Please don’t be put off though and we would be delighted to keep receiving your emails. If you get a mailbox full message please try again as we are working hard to clear emails out to create additional space. On the subject of space and the continued issue of having too much on the website has come back once again. This means that we are deleting more of the older Photo Galleries again – in the medium-term we are aiming to keep the last 10 years worth of photos live on the website but its something else which will take time to achieve!

2023 looks set to be the year that Edinburgh Trams embraced the full vinyl wrap advertising livery. Following on from the first in February for Breitling there have now been a further three which have found their way into service. The second was also on 270 (as per the first advert for Breitling) and is a very bright and colourful design for Camera Obscura. A few days after application we see the tram passing the site of the old York Place tramstop in Edinburgh City Centre on 1st July 2023. (Photograph by Gareth Prior)
