Edinburgh Trams - June & July 2023

In this collection we make the trip to Edinburgh for a selection of images taken at the very end of the June and start of July 2023.

With the Trams to Newhaven extension having opened a few weeks earlier the photos include several different locations. From Newhaven to Picardy Place on the extension and then on to the original line between York Place (albeit with no stop anymore) and the Airport.

The majority of the 27 strong fleet of trams are seen in action with all carrying some form of advertising. With things changing rapidly with adverts in Edinburgh some of these have already been confined to the record books and replaced with new designs. The most obvious advertising livery seen at this time was a full vinyl wrap on 270 for Camera Obscura - this was only the second full advert seen on the tramway up to this point (and the only one during this visit), although since then it has been joined by more examples.

Photographs were taken on Friday 30th June & Monday 3rd July 2023.
