We have one more image from the Seaton Tramway in 1995 before “Picture in Time” moves on and this time its two trams for the price of one!
Taken outside Riverside Depot on 28th August 1995 this photo shows two of the rebuilt original trams at rest. Nearest the camera is ex-Bournemouth Corporation Tramways 106, 16 in the Seaton fleet, whilst it is joined by former Metropolitan Electric Tramways 94, 14 at Seaton. Both of these trams were rebuilt in Seaton’s own workshops to become single deck saloons – and are still regularly seen in service today, either on driver experience runs or when the weather isn’t conducive to open toppers.
