Around the World in Trams: Bern 26

We return to the Swiss Museum of Transport for this latest edition of “Around the World in Trams”.

This view shows Bern 26, a tram built in 1894 for the Stadtische Verkehrsbetriebe Bern. A SIG C4 class tram it started off life numbered as 28 before being renumbered 77 in 1901 and 307 in 1913. It remained in service until 1959 at which time it was withdrawn, numbered 26 and transferred to the museum in Lucerne.
