Trams &: Stagecoach Supertram 110 & bus

We return to our series of photos showing trams alongside some other form of transport and today its a modern tram alongside a bus image – this time we are in Sheffield City Centre.

On the way out of Sheffield City Centre trams have to cross the road a couple of times which gives us some opportunities to get photos of trams with other forms of transport – often buses. And so it was on 10th September 2021 when original Siemens-Duewag tram 110 was leaving Castle Square with a Blue route service heading out to Halfway. With it pulling away from the stop it crosses Angel Street and holds up a couple of buses as it does so.

Of those buses – we can just see a total of four in this shot – the lead vehicle is a Wright Streetlife which is being operated by First South Yorkshire. Carrying the fleet number 63024 and the registration number SK63 KHA it is the many shades of purple First livery. With an electronic destination blind it shows as blank on the photo so we don’t actually know where the bus is going!
