As “Lockdown Walks” continues, today we feature an image taken on Edinburgh Trams back at the end of April.
As we’ve mentioned a fair few times on this very website work to extend Edinburgh Trams to Newhaven is ongoing with the current plan that passenger services will commence in Spring 2023. If you take Spring as ending on 31st May (as it does metrologically) that means that when the below photo was taken there were just a maximum of 761 days before we can all enjoy a tram ride along Leith Walk!
In this image we see 275 – in its Scotland Rugby advert – at St Andrew Square as it works a service through to the Airport. We are looking northwards here to York Place with the modern building on the right being Harvey Nichols. (Photograph by Roy Calderwood, 29th April 2021)
