Twilight Trams return to the Seaton Tramway for 2021!

Out of all the disruption we saw during 2020 there was one positive development at the Seaton Tramway in Devon – the operation of Twilight Trams. And now as 2021 continues to evolve it has been confirmed that they will run again this summer with the opportunity of taking a tram ride through the Axe Valley after dark.

Running every Tuesday from 27th July to 31st August it is planned that popular Boat style tram no. 4 will run on each evening alongside other trams and there will also be the option on some trips of having a meal at the Tramstop Restaurant in Colyton.

No. 4 is due to run the following trips:

1800 from Seaton with a return from Colyton at 1930

1900 from Seaton with a return from Colyton at 2030

2000 from Seaton with a return from Colyton at 2130

Because of capacity constraints on the tram you are advised to pre-book and it isn’t possible to combine these trips with a meal at the Tramstop Restaurant. You will get approximately an hour at Colyton where you can either get snacks from the restaurant or just enjoy the sights around the station area.

In addition to these trips it is likely that one of the double-deckers (substituted for an enclosed saloon type tram if weather dictates) will run the following trips:

1800 from Seaton with a return from Colyton at 2000 (with the option of a sit-down meal at the Tramstop Restaurant from 1830-1945)

1930 from Seaton with a return from Colyton at 2100 (with the option of a sit-down meal at the Tramstop Restaurant from 2000-2115)

Tickets for the two-course meal must be pre-booked by midday the day before travel.

The Twilight Trams are due to run on Tuesdays 27th July, 3rd August, 10th August, 17th August, 24th August and 31st August. More details – including how to book on any of these trips are available at https://www.tram.co.uk/events/view/twilight-trams-1.
