Stop by Stop Nottingham Express Transit: Clifton South line – Meadows Embankment

In the second part of our look at the tram stops on Nottingham Express Transit’s line to Clifton South we reach Meadows Embankment.

Once the tram leaves the previous stop at Queens Walk it continues to run along the road of the same name, crossing Robin Hood Way and then shortly before another road crossing it reaches the stop at Meadows Embankment. Again, opening on 25th August 2015 this stop is pretty familiar with platforms either side of the tracks and the usual shelters, ticket machines and lighting provided.

Meadows Embankment stop showing the extensive housing surrounding the tramway here which should give plenty of passengers wishing to travel into or out of Nottingham. As can be seen the stop is of a pretty standard design.

Passengers are boarding Citadis 236 as it makes the stop at Meadows Embankment with a service to Phoenix Park. (Both Photographs by Gareth Prior, 18th September 2020)
