Around the World in Trams: Innsbruck 157

In this latest edition of our worldwide tram series we are again heading to Innsbruck.

The system in Innsbruck has long used trailers to add capacity to services and a number of these were – as we saw with the motor last week – acquired from Basle in the early 1950s. In this photo we see a couple of the trailers – with a centre entrance – at Berg Isel Depot. Led by 157 the second trailer is unidentified. These Basel trailers would only have a couple more years left in service with withdrawal coming at the very end of 1966.
