Lockdown Walks: Edinburgh Trams 252

We continue our “Lockdown Walks” today, again we are in Edinburgh to take a look at one of the 27 strong class of CAF built trams in action.

The location here is St Andrew Square, the penultimate stop on the current line between the Airport and York Place. After trams depart from this stop it is just a short distance to the end of the line at York Place but hopefully the next few years should mean it is a longer journey all the way to Newhaven. The red sandstone building with two spires is the Scottish National Portrait Gallery in Queen Street.

252 heads away from the camera in North Saint Andrew Street with a service for York Place on 16th April 2020. It must have been a chilly day judging by the two pedestrians out for a walk wrapped up nice and snug! (Photograph by Roy Calderwood, 16th April 2020)
