Picture in Time: South Yorkshire Supertram 06

Our next batch of modern tram archive images will be coming from Sheffield and we start off back in 1994 with an image of one of the trams in action.

In this photo we see 06 just passing through Castle Square tramstop in the city centre as it heads towards Cathedral where according to the destination card in the lower windscreen this service will terminate. The image is undated but is thought to have been taken in 1994 however, public services between Fitzalan Square and Cathedral did not start until February 1995 so this is either a test run or the date of the image is wrong! 06 is in the original fleet livery of grey and a bit more grey.
