Area 5 of the rail replacement project on Stagecoach Supertram for 2018 will get underway on Monday 10th September and last for 12 days until Friday 21st September. This time the affected section will be between Donetsk Way and Halfway with trams from Malin Bridge terminating at Donetsk Way throughout this period and buses completing journeys.
The main worksite this time is around Eckington Way with worn rail due to be replaced. This does mean that trams on the Blue route from Malin Bridge will run as normal as far as Donetsk Way only with buses then running from there to the terminus at Halfway. The tram timetable will be almost as normal with the exception of a limited number of services which will not run. Full details of these changes can be found in the leaflet.
Work on Area 4 – Gleadless Townend to Herdings Park and Halfway – is also continuing up until Sunday 9th September.
