Special bike only trams return for Pedal for Scotland

Edinburgh Trams will be running a selection of bike only trams for participants in the Pedal for Scotland event on Sunday 9th September following the success of a similar service last year. These non-stop services will run in the morning between Haymarket and Ingliston Park & Ride with returns in the afternoon for anyone with a pre-purchased “Tram Transport” wristband.

Trams are due to run every half hour from Haymarket to Ingliston between 0400 and 0630 before the return trips are operated from 1100 to 1800. Only participants in the event who have pre-purchased the “Tram Transport” wristband will be able to board these special trams. A normal tram service will run alongside but these are limited to just two bikes each.

Pedal for Scotland includes a 45 mile Classic Challenge from Glasgow to Ed8inburgh and a very long bike road of 100 miles between the same two cities. The Royal Highland Centre – just a short bike ride from Ingliston Park and Road – is the centre of all the action.
