A talk on Public Transport in Aberdeen

On Monday 14th May a special talk on public transport in Aberdeen will take place at Aberdeen Central Library including sections on the horse and electric trams which once ran in the city. Starting at 1800 and continuing until 1930, local transport historian Keith Jones will talk about the history of the city’s tramways from the earliest lines in 1874 until closure in 1958 and then onto the expansion of the bus network from the 1920s and a look at the changes which have taken place over the past 60 years.
