West Midlands Metro services have only been able to run between West Bromwich Central and Edgbaston Village on Monday 7th April following overhead line damage close to the depot at Wednesbury.

It would appear that the West Midlands Metro don’t want to be left out, as after announcement of engineering works in Manchester, Nottingham and Sheffield they have also confirmed details of planned works at Priestfield and The Crescent.

It has been announced that the price of travelling on the West Midlands Metro will increase from 7th April 2025. The increase will be an average of 3.2%, with fares set to go up by between 10p and 30p.
