Metro teams up with schools to bring Bulls in the City

With the West Midlands Metro being a sponsor of the forthcoming Bulls in the City Art Trail, they have launched an exciting project where they are calling on local primary schools to help to design a bull! The trail – similar to other trails seen across the country, including Blackpool last yar who ended up with Elmer Tram! – will see 40 vibrant, larger than life bull sculptures take over the city, all in the name of charity with funds going to the Birmingham Hospice.

As part of the competition, West Midlands Metro is calling on local primary schools to submit designs with one lucky winner seeing their design on one of the bulls! The sculpture will be donated to the school after the event along with a £250 prize and an exclusive VIP behind the scenes tour at Wednesbury Depot.

Sophie Allison, West Midlands Metro Managing Director, said: “We’re thrilled to be part of this incredible project that not only brings art to our streets but also supports an important cause. As a growing light rail transport network that connects people and communities together, we recognise that young people play a vital role in our future success, and that’s why we are putting them at the heart of our contribution to this unique celebration of Birmingham’s rich heritage. We can’t wait to see the creativity of young people reflected in the bull design”
