Elmers End and Beckenham Junction Tramlink services to be disrupted by bridge works

London Tramlink services to Elmers End and Beckenham Junction will be suspended between Saturday 24th May and Sunday 1st June to allow for the replacement of the road bridge at Spring Lane, Woodside. During this period trams from Therapia Lane and West Croydon will terminate at Addiscombe with a replacement bus service being provided between Beckenham Junction and East Croydon calling as close as possible to most trams stops. Trams on Line 1 between Wimbledon and New Addington will be unaffected and will be able to operate a normal service.

Spring Lane bridge passes over the Tramlink line close to Woodside tramstop and carries the former – and now rather dilapidated – Woodside Station building. The work will now affect this building and at least for now it will remain in situ even after the works have been completed.

2559 arrives at Woodside on 2nd May coming under Spring Lane bridge and the old Woodside Station building.

Works have already commenced on top of the bridge as seen here with the old station building for company again.
