In Pictures: BRIT Awards return with a new advert

You may feel like you’re getting a sense of déjà vu as didn’t we already report on an advert for the BRIT Awards which was then soon removed? Well, yes we did but that was in conjunction with a competition to win tickets whereas a new advert on Manchester Metrolink 3076 is more to promote the ceremony which takes place in Manchester in February.

The advert is in the normal Metrolink style where the ends of the tram remain in fleet livery (the standard yellow) whilst the rest of the tram is wrapped in vinyls, including some on the windows. This is another black/dark based advert with the BRIT Awards logo and the award statue featuring.

Whilst this is not the first time that 3076 has carried an advert, it is the first one since June 2022 when it lost an ad for NOCCO. Previous to that it had advertised J J Whitley Vodka (December 2019-March 2020).

The tram also features internal advertising as seen here on the roof. (Both Photographs by Reece Hughes, 23rd January 2026)
