What’s New on British Trams Online? 3rd January 2026

Happy New Year! Once again please accept my apologies for the disruption in updates to British Trams Online since early December 2025 – and a big thanks to everyone who checked in to see if everything was OK. We should now be starting to get back to normal and this is the first “main site” update of 2026 which as is usual just features the Advent Calendars moving into the Photos section. The Fleet Lists have also enjoyed their first major update since the end of November – hopefully I’ve remembered everything that has happened but if not please let me know! And now we just wait and see what the tram world has to bring us in 2026!

This week there are updates this week to the Beamish Tramway (photo links), Blackpool Tramway (photo links), East Anglia Transport Museum (photo links), Edinburgh Trams (photo links), Dublin Luas (photo links), Manchester Metrolink (adverts removed, tram back into service and photo links), Nottingham Express Transit (tram back into service and tram back from Derby), South Yorkshire Supertram (photo links), Tyne and Wear Metro (trains scrapped, into service and delivered, photo links) and West Midlands Metro (adverts removed and photo links) Fleet Lists. There are also updates to the Blackpool Tramway (photo links), Manchester Metrolink (new advert, adverts removed and photo links) and West Midlands Metro (adverts removed) Advert Lists.

Tram Weekend at Crich always features unique photo line-ups with the depot fan the place to be if you want to see some non-operational trams out – often with some which are runners. 14th September 2025 saw a number of Blackpool trams lined-up with Box 40, Rack 2, Toastrack 166, Boat 236 and Standard 49 all seen in this image taken on a damp day.
