In Pictures: Metrolink 3133 returns to service

In the scheme of lengthy periods out of service on Manchester Metrolink a year isn’t a long time (when you compare it with the six years of 3027 when it returned to action earlier this year!) but mid-June has seen another tram return to use with 3133 re-commissioned for service.

The exact date that 3133 was last used isn’t recorded but it is thought to be around mid-April 2024. After recent work to get it back into service it went through the usual testing process before being handed over to traffic again.

This saw it used for the first time in around 14 months on Monday 16th June 2025 and it has seen regular use since.
