We go for another “Picture in Time” and its coming from Luas once more.
The tram in this photo – 5005 – is an Alstom Citadis 402. Its one of 26 of this sub-class which were built in France between 2009 and 2010 as seven section trams. They have since been extended to nine section vehicles with the extra capacity needed on the ever popular network.
But at the time of this image 5005 was still fairly new and just the seven sections when seen running on the Green line with a service to Sandyford – the home of one of the depots on the network.
