Back to fleet livery for two more in Manchester

The start of the year has been a period where we’ve seen several trams in Manchester lose advertising vinyls to return to the standard fleet livery and as we enter February that seem no signs of changing as there are now a further two trams back in the yellow and silver livery.

First to report on is 3097 which has now lost its advert for Cheez-It. These vinyls had been added to the tram in September 2024 and were the first time that the tram had operated out of fleet livery. But the end of January 2025 saw them removed from the tram and is now back in operation looking just like most of its other sisters.

The second tram back in fleet livery is 3081. This had been advertising a David Hockney exhibition at Aviva Studios and had only been put onto the tram in December 2024.

3081 had been no stranger to adverts with the David Hockney vinyls being its eighth different design since it first advertised IKEA in May 2019. Other advertisers had included Starling Bank, Get on Board, Hard Rock Café, Delicia Drench Body Butter, Autotrader and Juneyao Airlines.
