Throughout December we will be looking back at photos from 2024 as our “Out and About” series continues. In this edition we are at Saughton on the original section of the Edinburgh Trams network.
This first photo of two shows 268 having just departed Saughton with a service for the Airport. When seen here it was carrying adverts for the Johnnie Walker visitor attraction on Princes Street.
Then we take a look at the brightly coloured 270 which has an advert for Camera Obscura in place. Its just coming off the Carrick Knowe viaduct which takes the tramway over the Edinburgh & Glasgow Railway with a service bound for the Airport. (Both Photographs by Roy Calderwood, 30th May 2024)
