“Trams &” today includes a tram alongside a train on the Supertram Tram-Train route.
This photo was taken at Rotherham Central which is currently the only intermediate stop on the Tram-Train route out to Rotherham Parkgate. As its also a railway station there should be plenty of opportunities to catch photos of a train alongside a tram although obviously things have to be just right for that to happen. And it was just right on this trip to the station as 399 201 departs with a service bound for Rotherham Parkgate.
Heading in the opposite direction is class 150 DMU 150 277 which is being operated by Northern. Built by BREL York these DMUs were introduced in 1986-7 with many still in use both by Northern and other companies across the UK.
