The Number 20: London County Council 106 & Sheffield 15

Its time to get those calculators out again as we have another edition of “The Number 20” for you. And today we are returning to the Crich Tramway Village to take a look at a couple of trams which get us to the number 20.

Trams: London County Council 106 & Sheffield 15

Built: 1903 / 1874

Qualification for series: 15 + 6 – 1 = 20

This photo was taken on 17th May 2018 from a window in The Red Lion at the Crich Tramway Village and shows Joseph just setting off with Sheffield 15 on a horse tram trip up to the depot crossover. On the left London County Council is sitting at Stephenson Place waiting to be called forward to the loading stop at Town End. (Photograph by Hazel Quarmby, 17th May 2018)
