“15 Years Apart” today goes back to Crich as we feature Oporto 273 in 2007 and 2022.
The then photo of 273 was taken on 10th June 2007 and shows Oporto 273 being shunted around the depot. The tram has been part of the operating fleet for over five years by this time and was carrying its post war livery.
We catch up with the same tram on 17th September 2022 again at Crich, although this time its in passenger service. It is just arriving at Wakebridge from the direction of Glory Mine. The tram retains the same livery and there is very little which has changed for 273 between the two photos. (Both Photographs by Gareth Prior)
