“Trams &” today is heading to Blackpool once more as we feature an image at the southern terminus of the tramway – Starr Gate.
It’s a soggy morning on 2nd June 2022 here as we are at the far southern end of the Blackpool Tramway for an image showing two Blackpool Transport vehicles. The vehicle which dominates the image isn’t the tram but rather the bus which is one of the ADL Enviro400 City buses which received vinyls to celebrate Queen Elizabeth II’s Platinum Jubilee. Carrying the fleet number 423 this bus will soon depart from Starr Gate with a line 1 service to Fleetwood Affinity Outlet.
In the distance we also see Flexity2 015. The tram has just pulled forward from the tramstop having terminated with a service from Fleetwood and after preparations – including the driver walking from one end of the tram to the other – it will soon pull forward to the tramstop and embark on its next working.
