Llandudno & Colwyn Bay Electric Railway 7 returns!

It has been a long three years for the Llandudno & Colwyn Bay Tramway Society with firstly Covid and then major repairs needed to the Matador lorry which they use to transport their replica tram around the local area thwarting their attempts to get out and about again. But all that is now at an end with the Matador lorry fixed and no. 7 was able to go on a test run to the Llandudno Food Festival on Sunday 21st November. And after a few items on a snagging list were dealt with it is now planned that the tram will appear at the Annual Llandudno Christmas Parade on Saturday 3rd December – yes that’s tomorrow!

During the hiatus of the tram being able to go on display, the Society have been lucky enough to receive part of an old model tramway which was created by the late Harry Moore. This has been repaired and is now able to be displayed inside an ex-Crosville bus owned by the Chairman of the Society. With the layout in the bus it has been possible for the Society to still have a presence at local events to continue to raise funds for the continued survival of the replica tram no. 7.

The Llandudno Christmas Parade starts from Llandudno Railway Station at 1600 and then makes its way to the Town Hall via Vaughan Street and Mostyn Street.

Back out to meet its adoring public! 7 is displayed on the last day of the Llandudno Food Festival on 21st November 2022.
