Temporary timetable introduced in Edinburgh

The frequency of trams on the Edinburgh Trams network has been halved as part of a temporary timetable introduced on Monday 21st November. The revised timetable will run until further notice to allow maintenance work of the overhead wires to take place.

A spokesman from Edinburgh Trams explained more: “Our engineering team is carrying out essential maintenance to resolve a fault on the overhead power line and these temporary measures will help us to maintain a reliable and robust service for customers. We would like to assure customers that we are working as quickly as possible to complete these works and would like to thank them for their patience and understanding. We would also urge them to follow our social media channels for further service updates.”

Normal services resumed on Wednesday 23rd November after the succesful completion of the works.
