Seaton Tramway’s Tramathon fundraiser back for 2022!

Tramathon will be back at the Seaton Tramway on Saturday 2nd July! Originally conceived to help raise funds during 2020 and the start of Covid restrictions, the fundraiser has taken place for two years since with trams running for a full 24 hours and being live streamed on Facebook so everyone could take part even if they couldn’t get down to Devon. The 2022 event will be slightly tweaked as instead of a 24 hour event it will just be 12 hours worth of tram action although that is still plenty of time to pack a lot in!

It is planned that, subject to the usual availability caveats, all 12 operational passenger trams will be out on the system – both in service on display. When not running in service some trams will be displayed at Colyton Station to allow visitors to take a look around the rarer members of the fleet. Then they will be dropped into service at regular intervals.

Trams will be running for 12 hours from 1000 until 2200 and the trams due to run are 2, 4, 6, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 14, 15, 16 and 19.

Following on with the traditional of live broadcasts the team from the tramway will be online throughout the day walking around the tramway and taking trips which show off the Seaton Tramway.

For anyone visiting the Tramstop Café at Colyton Station will be open all day and evening to give you that much needed boost before enjoying some more tram rides as the day goes on and on!
