Performance up on Tyne & Wear Metro (but poster becomes an advert!)

The latest four weekly performance statistics poster from the Tyne and Wear Metro has again been put up at stations across the network and shows a bit of positive news as it is up from the previous month. Sadly after our excitement last time out that it had reverted to the old style with details of service disruption (and allowing us to flesh out this article a bit!) it has this time round included a huge advert on saying goodbye to paper tickets!

This poster covers the period from 6th to 31st March 2022. During these four weeks 84% of trains were classed as being on time (3 minutes later/30 second earlier). This was up from the previous period which was down at 79% but down on the same period in 2021 which was 91%.

The poster does also give results of the February 2022 passenger satisfaction survey which gave an overall satisfaction rate of 7.8 out of 10.
