Out and About: The sun has got its hat on the West Midlands Metro

In this edition of “Out and About” we take a trip to the West Midlands Metro as we take a look at the trams running in late winter (obviously before services were suspended).

West Bromwich Central is the location for our first shot as we see 21 calling on the way to Library. Note the “temporary” and unofficial name “ERNIE” on the side of the tram.

We now move on to Dudley Street where we look down on 20 as it stops with a service for Library.

Recent weeks have seen the resumption of tree clearance along the route as evidenced here in this view of 29.

The removal of the trees has reopened up some vistas not seen for a long time. This is 24 heading off to Birmingham. (All Photographs by Andy Walters, 14th March 2022)
