Pre-purchased tickets popular for Rugby fans getting to Murrayfield

With Scotland’s national rugby team currently in the middle of their Autumn Internationals held at Murrayfield Stadium – easily accessible on Edinburgh Trams with a tramstop right outside the entrance – a trial allowing special Rugby Return tickets to be pre-purchased is proving to be a success.

Anyone heading to Murrayfield can head to edinburghticket.com to purchase an Adult Rugby Return (at £3.40) or a Child Rugby Return (£1.80) to travel to the game from any stop on the network – with the exception of the Airport. The tickets can either be downloaded to a mobile or printed out before travelling.

Lea Harrison, Edinburgh Trams Managing Director, said: “Our new rugby ticket options have proved really popular for those first two Autumn Internationals with fans loving the convenience of already having a pre-purchased ticket before they travel. With our services boosted to run from every 3 minutes before and after the game, getting to BT Murrayfield with Edinburgh Trams couldn’t’ be easier.”

A Family Day Tripper can also be purchased in he same way offering a day’s travel for up to 2 adults and 3 under 16s, costing just £7.50.

Scotland’s next match at Murrayfield Stadium will against South Africa on Saturday 13th November with a 1300 kick-off.
