NET plays a starring role in short film

Nottingham Express Transit has played  a key role in the plot of a new short film which was premiered at the recent Nottingham Film and Food Festival. Shot by local film students, “Alone Together” is the story of two commuters who see each other every day across the tracks before meeting properly at a bizarre support group.

It has been written and directed by Connor McCay and produced by Georgia Nettleton who recently graduated from Nottingham Trent University. It is planned that it will be released on social media later this year after featuring at other festivals.

Chris Williams, Commercial Manager of NET, said: “It’s a great short film that’s certainly thought provoking and really highlights the wealth of film-making talent here in Nottingham. It also illustrates just how big a part the tram plays in the day-to-day lives of people who live and work in the city and we wish the students all the best for the future as they embark on their cinematic careers.”
