In Pictures: Trams &…. Bears?!

If you go down to Sheffield today you’re be in for a surprise! Following in the traditions of other cities who have had sculpture trails, there are 100 little bears and 60 big bears scattered around Sheffield to find and its all in aid of The Children’s Hospital Charity with the aim of funding a new Cancer and Leukaemia Ward at Sheffield Children’s Hospital. And with 160 to find in the trail there are also opportunities to capture photos of the special bears alongside trams!

The Bear Trail will be on the streets of Sheffield until 29th September (starting on 12th July) and you can get a trail map for a suggested donation of £1 to find out where to collect all the bears. You can find more details and how to donate to this important charity on the website at https://bearsofsheffield.com/.

One of the 160 bears on the streets of Sheffield at Castle Square is seen with 118 behind.

Same bear, different tram! 113 is at the stop.

113 departs from Castle Square as the bear continues to look on. (All Photographs by Stuart Cooke, 12th July 2021)
