This edition of “Lockdown Walks” features another tram on the Stagecoach Supertram network.
The Supertram system has a mixture of on-street and reserved track sections with the section through the main part of the city centre (Fitzalan Square to Cathedral) being for the exclusive use of trams allowing for the uninterrupted progress of the services – this is the only section where all four routes run.
In this photo we see 117 climbing up between Castle Square and Cathedral with a Yellow route service which will head to Middlewood. (Photograph by Stuart Cooke, 13th March 2021)
