Lockdown Walks: Edinburgh Trams 257

Today’s “Lockdown Walk” (coming from a time of no lockdown but never mind!) is again in the Scottish capital.

As we all know within the next three years the terminus at York Place will be no more, not just as a terminus but also as a stop completely as it will replaced by a new stop around the corner at Picardy Place. But until then it will still be performing its role with its single platform.

This photo shows 257 in an advert for Roy Harryhausen Titan of Cinema. This is an exhibition at the National Galleries of Scotland which will run until 5th September 2021 at the Scottish National Gallery of Modern Art. The tram has just made the right turn from North Saint Andrew Street on to York Place. (Photograph by Roy Calderwood, 7th December 2020)
